ASPIA Partner Support

For partners of adults on the Autism Spectrum

A place for validation, information, inspiration, mutual acknowledgement and understanding for those who are in a long-term relationship with a neurodivergent adult (formerly Asperger Syndrome, formally Autism Spectrum Disorder/ASD).

This website has been set up as a landing place for partners seeking support, information, referrals, connection, etc.  Please explore the following pages, and reach out if you would like some more information.

ASPIA Inc operated from 2003 until 2023 as a Sydney-based support group holding monthly meetings, hosting public workshops and providing a website as a resource and referral source.  Whilst we still recognise the vital need for support for partners we have had to change the way we offer this.

These days we hold lunch get-togethers every February, May, August and November at a location in Sydney, typically attended by 18-20 people.  It is our intention to occasionally offer additional meetups or retreats.  Please email us if you’d like to be included on our mailing list for announcements - aspia@live.com.au

The author of this website also offers private counselling sessions for partners either online or by phone, see my website www.carolgriggcounselling.com.au
